I was given these pieces when I graduated highschool in '98. I have enjoyed them, but I have decided I should part with them. I could use the money and I know other people may enjoy them more.
I have one piece that is entitled "Mischief" It is a lamp...kind of. It is part of the cityscape collection and it is housed in a wooden case with a light in the top. The name plate on the front Reads
"City scape sculpture by Michael Garman" "Mischief"
Dimensions are 9" wide, the sculpture is 12" tall, the case is 17" tall, and it is 7.5" deep. The sculpture is a young man in a baseball hat leaning up against a brick wall. There is a bat behind him...a smiley face graffitti on the wall...a mit and glove, as well as some bottles and a fire hydrant on the ground.
The signature on the floor of the sculpture says Michael Garman 1978.
I have photos and can send them if anyone is interested in the pieces.
Thanks
Brian Devericks
The next piece, which I have had a hard time finding a title to is larger and has a magic window. It is 24" wide, 18.5" tall and 7.5" deep. It says Leroy and Betha's Bar and Grill on a sign above the window. It also says hotel written vertically down the right side of the piece. It has an electric/meter on the left side of the windowand some wires. Inside the window, the first scene is a young man in a baseball hat standing outside the men's room door...waiting to go in. The next scene is inside the mens room where you see a dirty bathroom...a man peeing...and someone is in the stall..but you only see the front of his cowboy boots. There is also a radiator in the room. It is a great conversation piece, although many of my friends think it is strange. I guess that is why I loved it. I have taken some pictures. I called the magic village and they said they do not have that piece, and it is no longer in production.
The date on this piece is 1976.
I am looking for reasonable offers on both pieces together or separate.
Thanks
Brian
