New to the game!!! [Archive] - AllSculptures.com - Sculpture - Statue

Well, growing up iv'e always been a little confused on what i wanted to do with my life. so iv'e had a million differnt kind of jobs' from a cook, mechanic, comp tec, general labor, pipe fitter, actor. i could go on forever :) and hobbies from' music, special effects, creative writing, archery, guns. blah blah blah on and on. but i find my self in my garage creating more than anything. i love to invent, re-design and i look at loose piece of metal as a part of somthing it was never desinged for but always as a tool or somthing that does work. but around two months ago i walked into my garage as usual and sat there and looked around at my stuff trying to think of somthing to build' and then i picked up a camshaft off of the floor that was sitting next to some connecting rods and pistons and i ended up making a dog out of it' not very impressive but i had a blast grinding and welding it into shape. then i made a few other little guys out of rocker arms and other motor parts' which was also fun but not very fullfilling. but i tried a different approche' outside of wracking my brains on what to make next. i picked up this old work bench tabel leg and let it tell me what it wanted to be. the metal seem to flow together like words on paper to complete an uncontrolable story. then i completed my first piece i can say without a doubt i am proud of and proud to call art and i hope this is the part of me that always seemed to be out of my grasp. found metal, scrap metal what ever you want to call it' will be part of a story i will tell. tell me what you think.

It is made to be a wall scupture (http://www.allsculptures.com/wall-sculptures.php) piece and i have it hanging in my living room now and it hangs very natrual
