Overview

Height: 59 in, Width: 32 in, Depth: 22 in

Add charm, movement, and nostalgic beauty to your outdoor space with this delightful 5-foot-tall bronze garden fountain. Featuring a young boy and girl standing together beneath an umbrella, this sculptural fountain captures a sweet, playful moment while creating a relaxing water feature for the garden.

Water gently flows from the edges of the umbrella, falling like soft rain around the children and down onto the base below. The effect creates a soothing sound and a graceful visual display, making the fountain a warm and inviting focal point for patios, courtyards, garden paths, and landscaped outdoor areas.

Finished in rich bronze tones with soft verdigris accents, the sculpture has an aged, timeless look that blends beautifully with flowers, shrubs, stone, and pebbled garden settings. At approximately 5 feet tall, it has enough presence to stand out as a statement piece while still feeling charming and approachable.

Perfect for gardens, entryways, courtyards, and outdoor living spaces, this bronze fountain brings together artistic detail, peaceful water movement, and a heartwarming sense of childhood joy.

How It's Made
Cast in Lost Wax Bronze

The lost wax bronze casting method is a labor intensive process which is considered to be the best for capturing the finest details of an artist's original sculpture. Typically, a wax replica of the original is made and then dipped in liquid ceramic in order to create a ceramic mold. Once cured, the ceramic shell is kiln-fired and as the shell bakes, the wax inside melts and is lost from the shell (thus the term lost wax). After the ceramic shell is removed from the heat, molten bronze metal is poured into it to create the final casting.

Once the casting has cooled, the outer ceramic layer is broken away, revealing the bronze sculpture inside. A patina may be applied to obtain the desired colorization. And finally, wax is applied to add protection to the lustrous patina.

There are other techniques and variations of the lost wax casting process, but they all involve the loss of the wax mold implied in the term 'lost wax'.
